Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen Spolka Akcyjna, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a refiner of crude oil in central Europe.
It processes crude oil into unleaded petrol, diesel, heating oil, and aviation fuel, as well as plastics and other petroleum related products.
The company offers fuels, including petroleum, diesel, heating oil, and aviation fuel; and operates industrial thermal co-generation plant that co-generates and distributes heat and electricity for the Plock municipal heating system.
It also provides petrochemical products that include aromatic hydrocarbons comprising toluene, farbasol, xylene, orthoxylene, and benzene; petrochemicals, such as acetone, butadiene, ethyl tertbutyl ether, polymerizable ethylene, phenol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, pyrolisis oil, petrollent, petrygo Q, ethylene polyclycols, polymerizable propylene, and liquified ethylene oxide, as well as PETROX, a gaseous mixture of ethylene oxide and carbon dioxide; and energy products and side products consisting of liquified nitrogen, liquified oxygen, postreaction sulfurized mixturez, and liquid sulphur.
The company offers its products through wholesale operations, as well as operates a retail network under the brand names of ORLEN, BLISKA, Petrochemia, and CPN.
As of December 31, 2010, its retail network comprised 1,714 stations, including 1,333 owned and 381 franchised stations.
The company is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland.
